Somewhere in My Memory was written as the theme song for the films: Home Alone and Home Alone 2 by John Williams and the recently deceased Leslie Bricusse. The tune is played constantly during certain scenes in the films. The song was nominated for an Academy award in 1990 for Best Original Score, Best Original Song and for a Grammy award for the best song written for visual media.
The song was covered most notably by Bette Middler in 1992 and is now a popular inclusion in Christmas concerts.
